Anifilm
Located in the Czech city of Trebon, Anifilm aims to bring current trends, methods, technologies, and techniques from around the world to the Czech Republic. It is for both professionals and students, as well as being aimed at educators and children alike. Organised by AniFilm spol. s. r. o. and Citizen's Association for the support of animated film, who are primarily dedicated to the development and preservation of the cultural, economical and social sphere of Czech animated films. There is a deep passion throughout this festival to keep the contemporary alive through the next generation and Anifilm is dedicated to supporting the continuing education of animators.
The festival consists of three main categories of competition. The International competition of Feature Films includes subcategories of films aimed and adults, and those for children. There is an International competition of Animated Short films and a competition for Czech-Slovak students.
It's non-competitive division is a full plate of contemporary animators and animation from across the globe. Anifilm also offers a number of workshops for both adults and children as well as exhibitions, theatre performances and concerts.
This six day festival saw 1700 spectators in 2011, featuring 550 films.

Anifest
Located in Teplice Anifest offers an extensive variety of competitive categories for national and international animators. From flip books, music videos, commercials, tv-series, non narrative experimental films to a wide range of shorts.
Anifest operates under the definition of animation set out by ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d'Animation), "The Art of animation is the creation of moving pictures in all ways with the exception of live action.". All films most exceed 50% animated content and there is no limitation to what technologies could be used in a submission.
The Teplice festival is now entering it's twelfth year after of International Animated Film since it's birth in Trebon.

PAF Festival of Film Animation
This four day festival is located in Olomour and is predominantly curated by students with it's demographic directed at Czech students of highschool and university levels. It has been running since 2000 and is predominantly concerned with film animation, exploring cinematography, media studies and the visual arts.
One of their latest projects, Urbanism Animated, explores themes of cities and life situations through animation.
